Schweppes & Ogilvy Create Sexual Harassment Dress

Beverage company Schweppes is shining a light on sexual harassment in Brazil, designing a touch-sensitive dress.

Designed by Ogilvy Brazil, the dress users sensor technology to map impressions on the body from physical interactions

Every time the dress is touched, the data is sent to a computer control unit to monitor the frequency and strength of the interaction.

The dress is especially relevant to Brazil, given more than 86 per cent of women have admitted to being sexually harassed in a nightclub.

Three women wore the dress to a nightclub in São Paulo, and the results are pretty astonishing.

In one night, the three women were touched without consent a total of 157 times, equating to more than 40 times an hour.
